About me
I am a graduate of The Chicago School of Professional Psychology with more than 10 years of experience in community mental health. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of working with children, couples, families, and adults from diverse backgrounds and life circumstances. These experiences have broadened my clinical perspective and strengthened my ability to use evidence-based interventions that support meaningful and lasting change.
I understand psychotherapy as a collaborative process of change—one that is best understood as a journey. For me, psychotherapy offers an opportunity to develop insight, heal emotional wounds, cultivate resilience, and create healthier ways of relating to oneself and others. My approach is grounded in compassionate support, clinical experience, and a deep respect for each person’s capacity for growth and transformation.
My lived experience has also shaped the way I understand and practice psychotherapy. As a gay man and an only child who was born and raised in a blue-collar neighborhood on Chicago’s South Side, I have experienced firsthand some of the challenges related to identity, relationships, belonging, and personal growth.
My own experience with psychotherapy provided meaningful support as I navigated some of the most difficult challenges of my life. That experience contributed to my personal growth and inspired me to help others pursue their own paths toward healing, growth, and ultimately, thriving.
